Sit at the seated calf raise machine with your knees bent at 90 degrees. Place the balls of your feet on the footplate with heels extending off the edge. Position your knees under the padded lever, just above your knees. Release the safety bar and allow your heels to drop below the level of your toes. Push through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible. Hold the contracted position briefly at the top, focusing on squeezing your calves. Lower your heels below the platform level with control to feel a stretch in your calves.
